The Board of the Foundation is happy to announce that the 2019 recipients of the Ross Chafe Award (RCA):
Magdeleine Vallieres-Mill
Sherbrooke, Qc
The Canadian cyclo-cross team nicknamed Magdeleine “el cinco” because she has five letters “L” in her name. She stormed the National Championships winning both the time-trial and road race prior to coming 10th in the road race at the World Championships in Yorkshire. In 2020 she will race for the UCI-WCC team based in Aigle Switzerland. She’s a true multi-discipline cyclist – she’s represented Canada at the Junior World Championships in: cyclo-cross, mountain biking and road.
Jacob Rubuliak
Kelowna, BC
Jacob put on an incredible show at the 2019 National Championships. He won the National Time Trial Championships and was 5th in the Road Race. He followed this up with an impressive 4th on GC and 3rd in the Time Trial at the Tour de l’Abitibi – Nation Cup event. He represented Canada at the World Championships in Yorkshire. And He’s only a first year junior! We are really looking forward to what Jacob brings to the game in 2020.
